End of QT! :))

Yay! It's end of the Quarter Tests!!!!!!!!!!! :))
So the day after it, which is today, I went and played with Esther! :)
I've been out with her for several times since we were grade 7 and I think it's been so long since our last hang-out. So I was very pleased to have some time to rest and enjoy after the tiring QT!

BUT
I got a 69/75,, in the Math QT..
That's like 80%..
It's like one of the lowest grades I've ever got..
I think I didn't give my full effort for this quarter's QTs..
I regret it so much. I'm so sad right now. :(

The Trueman Show

Truman: [to an unseen Christof] Who are you?

Christof: [on a speaker] I am the Creator - of a television show that gives hope and joy and inspiration to millions.
Truman: Then who am I?
Christof: You're the star. ..

"Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

The Trueman Show is a truly awesome movie.

This movie is very entertaining and the topic of it is very unique and creative, about a man who was born and lived his entire 20 years in front of a live audience. But that's not the only reason why I'm so inspired by this. This has a very deep meaning about the essence of life. The scene where the creator of the program tells him that his life was just a program, I realized that our life could also be like that when we reach the end of our lives like Truman reached the wall/limit of that made-up world. That simple movie reminded me about how I should appreciate my life and how important life is. I'm so touched! I love this movie!!! :))

iSad. RIP, Steve Jobs

‎"Steve Jobs was born out of wedlock, put up for adoption at birth, dropped out of college, then changed the world. What's your excuse?" - Jonathan Moss
.
.
.
..How could I not know just until now that Steve Jobs has died? He's STEVE JOBS!.. I can't believe when these few days were stressful, annoying, and tiring QT days and happy end-of-the-QT days for me, it was the last days of this great man's life. It is a great loss to the world. Thank you for all the things you have contributed to the world and giving us a chance to have a glimpse into the future. RIP.

I think if Bill Gates was able to place computers on top of every single office's desks, Steve Jobs was able to place them in the living rooms, bedrooms, and even inside every single person's bags and pockets. iSad. RIP, Steve Jobs. Thank you.

I really believe he contributed a truly great, magnificent works to the world of 21st century. He could've contributed much more to the world. It really is a great loss to the world. I feel so sad. :( His story and influence to me filled my diary today!

SONGS! that make me emo :P

Last time, I gave two lists of songs: one list of loud songs that make me feel better and another list of songs that make me feel comfortable and peaceful!
This time, since it's also raining, I'll give a list of songs that make me feel EMO! chos. haha.

Huh Gak - Don't forget me

2NE1 - Lonely
(2NE1 is ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE! "It hurts" also makes me EMO :P )

Ivy - If
(AWWWW I love the lyrics! :) )

Lee Seung Chul - That person
(It's from a Korean drama! I loved the drama and scenes wherein this O.S.T was used were so touching. Listening to this song makes me remember those!)

Ye Sung - It has to be you(?), I can't be anyone else other than you(?)
(This was also from a drama I liked!)

Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
(TADA!! The EMOest among all! in my opinion. haha)

I love my mom! :'(

Tomorrow, I should take my Quarter Tests in Economics and Algebra, but I cannot concentrate on studying about it because I was so affected and moved by this video!

Studying is important, but I think learning the moral of this story by heart is even more important than just being aware of some academic terms or knowledge. I believe schools should consider morality as one of the most important things they should teach to their students and students should know by themselves too how to spend some parts of their time to care about this essential aspect of life.

This is so sad. Ko Eun regrets so much about her mean attitude towards her mother in her one last conversation, but I think I'm being even meaner than Ko Eun to my mom for more than just once, even if I have no intention to do so. I really think I should never forget how lucky I am to have a family and how much I should appreciate the love I receive from them.

I ♥ Korea (2nd part!)

I'm so touched with the video!
I found one with English subtitles, but it's not really perfect in grammar or in translating the words in a way that those will deliver the same message or same feeling like it does in Korean. However, it's better than no subtitle at all! So watch this! :)
(replace "severe" in that subtitle to "cruel" or "harsh", it makes more sense)

This one only has Korean subtitles, but since this almost made me cry, I'll post it here!
When you have a Korean beside you, watch this and ask him/her to translate it for you!

Also this! :)

SONGS! that make me feel comfortable and peaceful!

The songs I uploaded last time were loud songs with digital sounds and everything.
This time, I'll try to upload songs that makes my mind peaceful, serene, and comfortable.
MUSIC HAS NO LANGUAGE, so try to listen to these songs, T.LYLE! :)

10cm - Hug Me ( ← My translation for the title)

Yong Hwa Jung - "For the couples who love for the first time"?
( ← haha idk My translation for the title)

IU - "Hold My Hand" ( ← My translation for the title)

Taylor Swift - Today was a fairytale
(actually I LOVE most of her songs like "15" "Love story" "You belong with me" and more)

Owl City - Vanila Twilight
(OWL CITY's songs are AMAZING!!! His voice itself is peaceful and calm, so how much more peaceful would his songs be? :P)

Jason Mraz - I'm yours
(I also like "Lucky" "Remedy" "Make it mine" "Wordplay" "Mr.Curiosity" and more)
(JASON MRAZ is DEFINITELY one of my FAVORITE singers)

SONGS! Help me! I'm getting more and more stressed!!!!

How can we study for 5 QTs in one day when we're also humans who get tired?
And why do we have to do spend our time for our projects so that we wouldn't be able to study for the quarter exams?!!!! I'm getting even more upset and depressed. :(

I'll just listen to few of the catchy songs that will cheer me up and make me feel better:
2ne1 - I'm the Best

GD&TOP - High High

T-ARA - Roly Poly

Nicki Minaj - Superbass

Guy Sebastian - Who's that girl

These songs are just random songs I'm listening to right now to feel better. :)
There are songs that I like even more but these are the only ones I could think of for now.
They're only five, but I think I'm feeling less depressed now! :))

POWER OF MUSIC!

and ART QT!!!!!!

ART QT is a take-home exam, take-home poster-making, rather. BUT STILL!! I'm spending a lot of time for it when I should've spent that time by studying for the 4 SUBJECTS' Quarter Tests!!!!! :( And why are the girls only ones to submit it until tomorrow? Why not the boys? :/ They're having more time to study for the QTs!!! :'(

Anyway, I'll stop complaining >:P
We were supposed to draw a poster that will show relevance to the theme and make sure to do it nicely and creatively since this QT is equivalent to 100 points.

It has a rubric with these categories:
Design Details, Design Concept, Energy, and Relevance to the Theme.

THE THEME IS: "Let's preserve peace and respect toward other nationalities"

I don't know what to do because I know everyone will draw the globe and children from different countries laughing and holding hands together. :( I'll try my best to work on it as quickly and nicely as possible, but I don't know if T.Lyle will consider the fact that we're having QTs from 4 different subjects and give us high scores even if our works do not make him satisfied. :( Please pleeaaase GIVE HIGH GRADES!! Grades are reeeeaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyy important for me, like you know, right? Thank you for your kindness! :)

I just looked for some images with the themes of "global friendship"

and P.E. QT!!!!!

URGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I hate P.E.!!!! We already took our practical test through dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, attacking, and all those things about soccer, and even if we did so, we have to memorize about our body's systems to take written exam this time! What's the relationship between soccer and human body systems? I mean they're related in a way that we use our body when we play sports, but why should we study about biology when we already did in grade 8 and we're already done with the practical exam about soccer!! :( I HATE PHYSICAL EDUCATION!! WHAT IS IT TO DISTURB ME!!?!!?!?!

PHYSICAL EDUCATION ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA IS:
Physical education (often abbreviated Phys. Ed. or P.E.) or gymnastics (gym or gym class) is a course taken during primary and secondary education that encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting.[1] Physical Education has 5 components: 1. Cardiovascular Fitness is the ability of the heart, lungs and vascular system to deliver oxygen-rich blood to working to working muscles during sustained physical activity. 2. Muscular Strength is the amount force a muscle or group of muscles can exert against a heavy resistance. 3. Muscular Endurance is the ability of a muscle or muscle group to repeat a movement many times or hold a particular position for an extended period of time. 4. Flexibility is a degree to which an individual muscle will lengthen. 5.Body Composition is the amount of fat in the body compared to the amount of lean mass.

MUSIC QT!!! :(

AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also have to study for MUSIC QUARTER TEST!!!
We keep on learning about the same thing in music classes like sharps, flats, major, minor, key signatures, C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C, half steps, whole steps, triads, and more.
But this year, this quarter! It's harder than I thought it is! I thought it will be easy like it was during the past few years, but T.Teddy has taught us difficult things which we didn't realize it was difficult because he was talking like it's something so simple and unnecessary! HAHA, and the class was noisy and not concentrating, so we didn't expect what we've learned to be this hard. So, I'm gonna research about MUSIC too(like I searched about German)!

SO WHAT IS MUSIC?
ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA(again haha) :

Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm(and its associated concepts tempometer, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives fromGreek μουσική (mousike; "art of the Muses").[1]
The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts", music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art. There is also a strong connection between music and mathematics.
To many people in many cultures, music is an important part of their way of life. Greek philosophers and ancient Indian philosophers defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as "the harmony of the spheres" and "it is music to my ears" point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, "There is no noise, only sound."[2] Musicologist Jean-Jacques Nattiez summarizes the relativist, post-modern viewpoint: "The border between music and noise is always culturally defined—which implies that, even within a single society, this border does not always pass through the same place; in short, there is rarely a consensus ... By all accounts there is no singleand intercultural universal concept defining what music might be."

What language is this? :/

Guess what this language is!!!!

These numbers are in GERMAN!

In this school year, we have GERMAN as our new foreign language!
I'm also reviewing for its quarter exam, so I'm going to search about German and Germany!

According to Wikipedia (my favorite site although somehow unreliable!):

Germany officially the Federal Republic of Germany (GermanBundesrepublik Deutschland, is a federal parliamentary republic in Europe. The country consists of 16 states while the capital andlargest city is Berlin. Germany covers an area of 357,021 km2 and has a largely temperate seasonal climate. It is one of the major political powers of the European continent and a technological leader in many fields.
A region named Germania, inhabited by several Germanic peoples, was documented before AD 100. During the Migration Age, theGermanic tribes expanded southward, and established successor kingdoms throughout much of Europe. Beginning in the 10th century, German territories formed a central part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. During the 16th century, northern German regions became the centre of the Protestant Reformation while southern and western parts remained dominated by Roman Catholic denominations, with the two factions clashing in the Thirty Years' War. Occupied during the Napoleonic Wars, with the rising ofPan-Germanism inside the German Confederation resulted in the unification of most of the German states into the German Empire in 1871 which was Prussian dominated. After the German Revolution of 1918–1919 and the subsequent military surrender in World War I, the Empire was replaced by the Weimar Republic in 1918, and partitioned in the Versailles Treaty. Amidst the Great Depression, theThird Reich was proclaimed in 1933. The latter period was marked by Fascism and the Second World War. After 1945, Germany was divided by allied occupation, and evolved into two states, East Germany and West Germany. In 1990 Germany was reunified.

The country has developed a very high standard of living and a comprehensive system ofsocial security. Germany has been the home of many influential scientists and inventors, and is known for its cultural and politicalhistory.

Jollibee buys Burger King franchise in the Philippines

I was just looking at the news of the Philippines and found out that "Jollibee bought Burger King franchise in the Philippines"!!!! I knew Jolibee was such a big, wide-spread franchise, but I didn't know it was that rich and influential in this "fastfood companies' society(?)" of the Philippines! (Jolibee also owns Chowking? I just knew it now!) Below is what was written in the article!

Jollibee buys Burger King franchise in the Philippines

Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - Philippine fastfood giant Jollibee Foods Corp. has cemented its leading position in the highly competitive quick-service restaurant industry by taking over the Philippine operations of American chain Burger King.
The deal allows JFC to gain a foothold into the premium segment of the hamburger category in the fast-food business as the group was expecting the premium price segment of the market "to grow appreciably in the years ahead as the Filipino consumers' standard of living rises from the growing economy."
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange Friday, Jollibee announced that it has signed an agreement acquiring a 54-percent stake in BK Titans Inc., owner of PERF Restaurants that, in turn, is the sole franchisee of the Burger King brand in the Philippines. The deal was priced at 65.5 million pesos (US$1.49 million).
Burger King has 23 restaurants in the country, mostly located in Metro Manila. It generates annual revenues of P800 million and has recently turned profitable despite its much smaller store network compared to Jollibee's.
The American fastfood chain, which is based in Miami, Florida, has similar products to Jollibee such as hamburger, fried chicken and fries in its core menu. However, Burger King's products are priced about 30 percent higher than comparable Jollibee products in the Philippines.
The entry into higher-end fast food products will allow Jollibee to harness the growing mass affluence of Filipino consumers and capture a niche market that is less sensitive to economic cycles. At the same time, its entry is seen allowing Burger King to scale up operations in the country.
With the entry of Jollibee into BK Titans, the fast-food giant will still have as minority partners the groups of businessmen Manuel V. Pangilinan (13 percent) and Alberto Lina (33 per cent).
Founded in 1954, Burger King is the second-biggest fastfood hamburger chain in the world operating more than 12,300 locations and serving 11 million guests daily in 78 countries. Most of its restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees. In Asia, the business is managed by Singapore-based BK Asiapac Pte. Ltd.
For its part, Jollibee operates the Philippines' biggest fastfood network with 1,941 stores in the country under the brands Jollibee (733), Chowking (395), Greenwich (209), Caffe Ti Amo (2) and Mang Inasal (393). It has 437 stores overseas under the brands Yonghe King (235), Hong Zhuang Yuan (52), Jollibee (71), Red Ribbon (39) and Chowking (40).

Quarter Test in Computer!!!

Urgh! Finally, we took one Quarter Test! 10 More Subjects to go! Ang dami :(
We have Writing, P.E., Music, Art, German, Filipino, Physics, Economics, Algebra, and Literature, that's 11 including computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And even worse, I should still finish my projects! I'm so tired, frustrated, nervous, discouraged, and all that. But what can I do :( life's going to be even harder in the future, so what I can do now is just to look at the bright side and try to learn some lessons from these tough situations. :)

Actually, I just realized that I am writing this for my project!!! when I should be sooooooooo busy studying for the rest of the 10 subjects! Well, I'm starting my art Q.E. now. I'll try to do things one by one. I hope when T.Lyle reads this he'll understand the students' hardships and give high grades as considerations and inspirations for them. HAHA! Anyway, since I've taken the computer Quarter Test today, I'm going to post about HTMLs!

What are HTMLs?

According to Wikipedia:

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the predominant markup language for web pages. HTML elements are the basic building-blocks of webpages.
HTML is written in the form of HTML elements consisting of tags, enclosed in angle brackets (like <html>), within the web page content. HTML tags most commonly come in pairs like <h1> and </h1>, although some tags, known as empty elements, are unpaired, for example <img>. The first tag in a pair is the start tag, the second tag is the end tag (they are also called opening tags and closing tags). In between these tags web designers can add text, tags, comments, and other types of text-based content.
The purpose of a web browser is to read HTML documents and compose them into visible or audible web pages. The browser does not display the HTML tags, but uses the tags to interpret the content of the page.
HTML elements form the building blocks of all websites. HTML allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to createinteractive forms. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items. It can embed scripts in languages such as JavaScript which affect the behavior of HTML webpages.
Web browsers can also refer to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to define the appearance and layout of text and other material. The W3C, maintainer of both the HTML and the CSS standards, encourages the use of CSS over explicitly presentational HTML markup.

According to Webopedia:

Short for HyperText Markup Language, the authoring language used to createdocuments on the World Wide Web. HTML is similar to SGML, although it is not a strict subset.
HTML defines the structure and layout of a Web document by using a variety oftags and attributes. The correct structure for an HTML document starts with <HTML><HEAD>(enter here what document is about)<BODY> and ends with </BODY></HTML>. All the information you'd like to include in your Web page fits in between the <BODY> and </BODY> tags.
There are hundreds of other tags used to format and layout the information in a Web page. Tags are also used to specify hypertext links. These allow Web developers to direct users to other Web pages with only a click of the mouse on either an image or word(s).
